Dr. Marshall Hennington received his Ph.D. and an MA. Degree from the California
School of Professional Psychology in Clinical Psychology and
also has an Educational Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology
from
Columbia University. He received a B.S. Degree in Social Science
from U.C. Berkeley. He has represented clients in various courts
throughout the country and is a member of the American Psychology
Association’s Law and Psychology Division. He is a past member of the professional visibility board of the American Society of
Trial Consultants. He specializes in jury profiles and selection,
case theme development, and witness preparation in both civil and
criminal cases. He has an expertise and has published articles in the
field of ethnic and gender considerations in jury composition and
selection. He is a regular contributing writer to the Los Angeles
Daily Journal’s “Verdicts and Settlements” section
and is recognized as a national leader in trial and jury consulting.
His forensic and qualitative psychological skills have been successfully
used to conduct community attitude surveys, focus group research,
mock trials, and to develop computerized juror profiles for jury
selection. He has been featured in numerous magazines including
Newsweek Magazine and The Los Angeles Times. He travels extensively
lecturing to law schools and law firms. He has also been featured
on the “Today Show” on NBC.
Dr. Hennington has assisted with numerous high profile trials including most recently the USA v. William Jensen Cottrell (Cal-Tech
Graduate Student Eco-Terrorist) trial, The Philip Morris tobacco
trial, The Candid Camera, Inc. trial, the Ron Ruden Murder Trial
in Las Vegas, the Marian “Suge” Knight (CEO of Death
Row Records) trial, “Operation Casablanca” (the largest
money laundering trial in U.S. history), and the Reverend Henry
Lyons corruption trial in St. Petersburg, Florida (State of Florida
v. Henry Lyons). Additionally, Dr. Hennington will assist in the
re-trial of (State of New Jersey v. Jayson Williams). Dr. Hennington
has also represented various corporations including Philip Morris
(Altria Group), Texaco Oil Corporation, State Farm Insurance, Fireman’s
Fund Insurance, Universal Pictures, Vivendi, Washington Mutual
Bank, King Drew Medical Center, The Southern California Metropolitan
Water District, The Department of Justice and American Airlines
with employment matters. Dr. Hennington is a regular commentator
on Court T.V., CNN, and MSNBC. He is recognized as a leading authority
in jury psychology. He has been involved in numerous high profile celebrity
trials including the Robert Blake Murder Trial and the Thomas
Toolan Murder Trial in Nantucket. Dr. Hennington has served as
a legal commentator for the Michael Jackson Trial for NBC and MSNBC.
Dr. Hennington is currently self publishing two books tentatively
titled “The Art Of Winning Jury Trials” and “Words
Of Wisdom; A Message To My Daughter.” Dr. Marshall Hennington’s
specialty is crafting litigation strategies to win trials. Dr. Hennington is on the
Board of Directors for Operation Hope which is a full service program that
addresses the needs of at risk youth. In his spare time Dr. Hennington also
volunteers his time at the Westside Jewish Community Center.
